Q: QuestionWhat kind of audio output connections are on this? I see nothing listed and the pics are not available. Need headphone jack.
Asked by Pete.
- A:Answer I'm supprise people chose vinpro's answer as the most helpful! He/She is wrong, it does have optical out as per progers13's answer. CommunityAnswer is also wrong when he/she said "This has HDMI and RCA jacks for audio output" Those are actually input from your devices likes; Roku, Dvd player, DirecTV/DishNetwork box or other streaming devices. The Specification here and at LG website is also wrong because a) It didn't list optical out, b) it list only 2 HDMI inputs while in reality it does have 3 HDMI. I have the TV on hand to check all of these.

Q: Questionwhat is the sound like. I am hard of hearing and need a loud tv
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I personally think it is plenty loud. I typically listen at volume level 10 (out of 100) and it is more than enough for my 16' x 20' master bedroom. Flat panel TVs notoriously do not have "great" sound due to the size of the speakers located in the smaller and more compact frames of these thin TVs. Might I suggest, if your TV's audio output is insufficient, that you consider external audio such as a soundbar or a receiver and separate speakers. Such setups will give you far superior sound compared to the TV's built in speakers.

Q: Questionwhy does a green line appear at the bottom of the screen when you turn it on?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer There shouldn't be any green line. I bought two and don't have the problem you described. Unless you have some other device like Blu-ray/DVD player, TV box...etc with strong magnetic field leaking placed directly underneath your TV, you might have interference. Otherwise, you have a defected TV. Return or exchange it.

Q: QuestionHi. what is difference of this model 40lh5000 and model 40lh5300? Thanks
Asked by john.
- A:Answer The 40LH5000 seems to be an upgraded model than the 40LH5300 despite a lower number. The 5000 has three HDMI inputs compared to two on the 5300. Also, the 5000 has an optical audio out whereas the 5300 was criticized for having no audio out. The 5000 has the split stand legs; the 5300 has a solid base. Any other differences appear to be negligible.

Asked by Jj.
- A:Answer No it doesn't come with an HDMI cable. I've never seen a TV or Blu-Ray player include an HDMI cable before, I'm curious what TV's you've bought that included them. (The stores really like you to buy one with your TV ;-)
