We understand your inquiry about whether the unit shuts off automatically once the set temperature is reached or if it requires manual turning off. When the unit is in Cool mode, the compressor will cycle off once the set temperature is reached to maintain comfort and efficiency. However, the fan typically continues to run to circulate air. If you choose Energy Saver mode, both the compressor and the circulation fan will turn off when the desired room temperature is met. The fan will then periodically cycle on to check the room's air temperature and determine if more cooling is needed.
