“Connecting to a Receiver how can I connect this TV to my Yamaha receiver so I can play the sound through the receiver's speakers? I tried running my DVD player to the receiver and then running an HDMI cable from the receiver to the 2nd HDMI port on the TV but I get no sound from either the TV or the DVD player.”

The thing that sucks about this tv is lack of ports, your only option is to use the optical audio port and hooking that up to your Yamaha, if the Yamaha doesn't have optical audio, you can buy cheap adapters on amazon that go to optical audio to red and white rca inputs.
