I have the same problem w/a wireless Bluetooth headset I have. The optical (read light) output will require an optical to an RCA audio converter that will have the connectors you need to hook up to your equipment, (like the round connectors on the back of your stereo equipment). ie., this TV isn't backward compatible to the older audio devices. I found a slew of them on eBay.
