A:Answer The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG - 43" Class (42.7" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV - Black, Model # 43UH6100 has a resolution of 3840 x 2160. The old convention of giving a TV's native resolution was to just refer to the vertical resolution, in this case 2160p. This TV, like any other TV will always play content at it's native resolution and it has 4K upscaler. When presented with content that is not in its' native resolution, it will upscale to as close to its' native resolution. Full HD (i.e. 720p, 1080i, 1080p) will look good when upscaled, but standard definition (i.e 480i) will not look good because there is not enough data in that signal to make up for the difference between 480i and 2160p...^IFV
