“Does the screen reflect lights that might be on in the room? I am looking for a tv with a matte finish. Do they exist anymore?”

I wouldn't call it a matte finish but the screen is definitely less reflective than the border around the TV. If you were shining a flashlight directly at it you'd be able to see it but if you're just worried about a lamp or something it would probably be fine. My ceiling fan light is really only noticable if I'm actively looking for it and it even never even comes to mind when I'm watching TV or playing games.

The LG 43 Inch Class 4K HDR Smart LED TV (42.5'' Diag), Model # 43UM6910PUA has a semi gloss screen that has good reflection handling. Glare might be an issue in a bright room or if you have light sources opposite the TV...
