Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can use it for anything you want to watch. If you have a Indoor antenna or outside. If you just have cable its ok to use. You can have a free antenna and cable set up Your going to love the picture and sound straight out of the box. You don't have to set the smart side of the tv if your not going to use it. You can watch like a regular tv. LG does have a free smart channel if you want to watch it, but you will need the smart side activated. I strongly suggest you buy a high speed HDMI cable from you cable box to the tv. A regular HDMI doesn't give you the full capability of the tv's picture.
