“Does this tv 43UM6910PUA really connect to Apple Airplay? It was advertised online and on the box that way. I brought it but my iPhone won’t recognize the TV when i want to cast something to it”

Airplay has worked with my iPhone SE. Both the TV and the iPhone need to be on the same WiFi network. I found instructions at https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/how-to-use-airplay-what-lg-tvs-support-airplay-2-CT10000018-20151097893431.
