“Do I need to have Wi-Fi to have this TV be operational. The set is for my Mother who does not have Wi-Fi at her home but does obviously have cable. Just need to know if I can operate the set without needing Wi-Fi which she technically does not want.”

• You will not need Wi-Fi t setup the TV. Long term an internet connection is needed form firmware updates. ^Daphane

• You will need an internet connection to update the software or install and use any apps. Streaming apps are supported so you wouldn’t need a streaming device like Roku or Apple TV. If connected you could use it’s built in web browser, Alexa or Google Assistant.
