I have been unable to determine if the OLED48C1 panels use the new "Luminance Element" that is found in the G1 series or are the same panel as the CX. Stop the FOMO has a good overview of what this exactly means: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8xje6cjABc . The term "Evo" is specifically reserved for G1 series; it is a combination of the new "Luminance Element" panel technology and certain settings (firmware, etc) to increase the brightness.

Evo doesn't come on C1, and it is exclusive to G1. LG has been clear on that.

The model with the OLED EVO display will be the G1 models which will begin shipping this week. The C1 initial shipments have started, please keep checking the Best Buy website. It should be available any day now. Thank you. ^Daphane
