“Can this remote take the place of my Comcast remote for my cable box? The Samsung I have now which is only 2 years old has a limited buttons and I have to use the Comcast remote. Would like to use LG's if possible to do what the Comcast remote does.”

Hi Jaytone. The LG Magic Remote that is packaged as an included accessory with the LG CX 48 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (48.2'' Diag), Model # OLED48CXPUB is a Universal Remote that will control peripherals (Blu-ray / DVD player, home theater, set-top box, etc.) rather than using their dedicated remote controls when you set up the Universal Remote Control feature on the TV. The TV will recognize devices connected to its HDMI ports and automatically set the universal remote control without manual setting. Depending on the connected device, the automatic setting feature for universal remote control (automatic device connection) may not be supported. Usually dedicated remote controls for the cable set-top boxes may have some functionality on them that is not available on a universal remote control so while you will be able to use the LG Magic Remote for some functions on the Comcast Set-top box, it will not control of of the functions and features that the Comcast remote performs.
