Although the LG - 49" Class (48-1/2" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 3D - 4K Ultra HD TV, Model # 49UB8500 has dual voltage (100V ~ 240V, 50/60Hz), you will not be able to view local TV Broadcasts in India because India uses the PAL Video Broadcast system and this TV only receives NTSC Video Broadcast signals. If you have a Blu-ray player or DVD player designed for the US region, you can still plug it into the sockets in India and watch Blu-ray discs and DVDs that are compatible with the TV, but not for local TV broadcasts...^IFV
