Yes but you really don't "download" anything. You "log in" to your Amazon Prime (one time usually during the initial TV set up but really can be done at any time) and from then on, you're able to access Amazon Prime content simply by selecting the source stream through a TV interface menu. It's the same set up/use process for NetFlix . . . . and for both of those services it means that you no longer need a streaming device like a Roku or Apple TV, at least for those two services.
