• No they do not have to be mounted. I have my television standing on my dresser rather than mounted on my wall. The TV works the same whether mounted on the wall or standing on its stand.

• Yes. I believe all Tvs come with a stand.

• Yes I believe ALL flat screen tv's come with stands. Its a lot cheaper to use the stand than to spend over 500 bucks to have a professional come in and WALL MOUNT IT!.
