Same problem. I'll try the hdmi/arc method. I'm trying to hook up a Samsung sound bar. The tv is connected to Dish satellite so I'm still trouble shooting. Dish is using input 4 which is the same hdmi connection I need to use for the sound bar. We'll see. Maybe Dish will allow me to change their preferred input.
