“We are attempting to connect our cable box to the tv with an HDMI cable. It recognizes the cable is plugged in but it cannot receive a signal, and when we attempt to auto tune the channels it comes back with 0 channels available. How can we fix this?”

Did the same thing my first time. Make sure that you select the proper input. The TV will look for channels on the antenna/cable input first. Make sure you select HDMI input for the channels on your system as long as you are using an HDMI cable.
