“How do you turn off the sound on the remote? It says the volume whenyou turn it up or down and I want to turn it off.”

Look on the remote for the "VOL" key, slightly above that key and to the right, centered on the remote is a key that looks like a speaker with a slash through it. That key is the "mute" button which turns off the sound when pressed once. Press the button again to turn on your sound again. Hope this helps you. Enjoy!
