I believe you do if you are looking to watch in 4K... a lot of HDMI cables will only do 30 or 60hz. Standard HDMI: Up to 720p or 1080i resolution at a 30Hz refresh rate High Speed HDMI: Up to 4K resolution (including 1080p) at 30Hz Premium High Speed HDMI: Up to 4K resolution with high dynamic range (HDR) at up to 60Hz Ultra High Speed HDMI: Up to 10K resolution with HDR at a 120Hz refresh rate (4K video can refresh at up to 240Hz) I got this from tech hive. Since the TV can do 120hz 4K, might as well get the best picture possible from what you invested your money in. Pay close attention to the specs on the cable when shopping, most will give you the refresh rates at different input qualities. If not it might not be reputable. Prices can get steep so shop around.
