“Purchased an LG 49Nan085 tv today. We could not get the picture to be the right contrast. We tried the different modes and decided Vibrant was the best but still the picture was very dark. Are there other settings for color brightness”

There is an energy saving mode that is active out of the box. You have to go into setting and turn it off otherwise it will dim and crush image quality.
