You do not have to have the LG 49 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV (48.5'' Diag), Model # 49UM6900PUA connected to a cable set-top box. You can attach an antenna to the F-Type, 75-Ohm, coaxial connector in the back of the TV labeled "Antenna/Cable In".
