Hi Kat, Thank you for your inquiry. When you wash your clothes in the LG 5.2 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Mega-Capacity High-Efficiency Steam Top-Loading Washer, Model # WT5680HVA, after you have turned the machine on and selected your cycles, within five minutes of selecting your cycle, you will have to press the START/PAUSE button to begin the cycle. The lid will lock and then the machine will agitate briefly without water to weigh the clothes. This is normal. You mentioned something about a "loud stop!" How loud is it? You might want to keep an eye on that. It is normal for the machine to make a sound when it stops, but you will know from the sound as to whether or not it needs servicing or repair...IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would try another cycle, express is for small items you want to wash quickly, not sheets. It could be the machine readjusting to the weight of the load. I would try the bulky/bedding setting. I have also used power cleanse, seems to have more rotation of clothes and better cleaning.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is normal, the machine is just measuring the size of the load so it knows how much water to use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is normal and is just the machine determining the size of the load and the amount of water needed. In my machine it is not loud at all but it does stop and start as it "feels" how much and how heavy the laundry is.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. At the beginning mine makes a clicking noise to adjust clothes and to check how much water to use. It senses how large the load is.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the machine is sensing the load. The sensing load indicator light will illuminate after hitting the start button. The machine senses the load to determine size/weight of the load, this function determines the water level & washing time needed for that particular load.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it stops and balances the load multiple times before it actually does the wash.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This apparently is normal. We noticed the same thing with our new machine. If you read the book that comes with the machine all the way through, it will explain that when the machine first starts and goes through the steps that you described, it is checking the size of the load.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The machine goes through a complex looking load sensing program at the beginning of most cycles. This sounds like what you're describing. During this you should see the sensing icon blinking. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
