Q: Wash Cycle is rotating very slow
A: I have the same problem but the clothes smell great but doesn’t clean well. The towel and clothes keep the stains
Q: when starting a load and water coming into machine
A: Hi Kat, Thank you for your inquiry. When you wash your clothes in the LG 5.2 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Mega-Capacity High-Efficiency Steam Top-Loading Washer, Model # WT5680HVA, after you have turned the machine on and selected your cycles, within five minutes of selecting your cycle, you will have to press the START/PAUSE button to begin the cycle. The lid will lock and then the machine will agitate briefly without water to weigh the clothes. This is normal. You mentioned something about a "loud stop!" How loud is it? You might want to keep an eye on that. It is normal for the machine to make a sound when it stops, but you will know from the sound as to whether or not it needs servicing or repair...IFV
Q: how much clearance is required for this machine when the top is lifted?
A: The LG 5.2 Cu. Ft. 14 Cycle Mega-Capacity, High-Efficiency Top- Loading Washer with Steam, Model WT5680HWA if 55 3/4" tall with the lid open!...IFV
A: Ours was defective from day one. It took almost 2 months to resolve the issue. Our machine still does not wash clothes very well at all. We are very disappointed.
Q: How long does average wash cycle last?
A: It varies widely depending on load size and which wash cycle you choose. Cotton/normal cycle with an average load size takes around 40 minutes.
A: The temperature coming from your hot and cold water faucets will determine how hot or how cold the water being used in the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG - 5.0 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle High-Efficiency Steam Top-Loading Washer - White, Model # WT5680HWA is and all temperature variations in between. This washer has 5 wash temperatures, Extra Hot, Hot, Warm, Cold and Tap Cold. All rinses are use Tap Cold water and the temperature depends on the temperature of the cold water at the faucet. The Hot setting will be as hot as what you have your water heater set at. Whether you have a gas or electric water heater, the default temperature set from the factory will be between 120ºF to 140ºF. It is estimated that the average water heater temperature is set to 130ºF in the United States. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) recommends setting your water heater at 120ºF. OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration), on the other hand, recommends setting your water heater thermostat at 140ºF under certain circumstances. For the Sanitary cycle, the internal heating element increases the temperature of incoming water to over 160ºF and is capable of killing dust mites, germs, and bacteria and carries the National Sanitation Foundation, or “NSF Certified” label. For the cycles that introduce the Steam option such as the Tub Clean, Heavy Duty, Bulky Bedding, BrightWhites™, and Allergiene™ cycles, water turns to steam at 212ºF at standard temperature and pressure...^IFV
A: Welcome to the club. The only solution we have found is to run large loads only. Since I find this inconvenient, I often wind up having to monitor a small load and repeatedly adjust the clothes. Why it has problems with small loads and not with large loads is an issue for the LG engineers. LG, by the way, must know about this problem by now. They are certainly not replacing machines having this issue.
Q: The water pressure in my home isn't very good, will this cause a problem with a new washer?
A: Your inquiry is appreciated! The water supply pressure for the LG 5.2 cubic foot 14-cycle Mega-Capacity High-Efficiency Steam, Top-Loading Washer Model # WT5680HWA should be between 14.5 psi (100~800 kPa). If its higher than 16 psi then you will have to install a pressure reducing valve. If on the other hand, the pressure is lower than 14.5 psi, your washing may take longer and the performance and efficiency of the washer definitely will be affected. Definitely reach out to a qualified plumber to get this rectified. You might even get pipe knocking!...IFV
