“I purchased a lg dolby atmos sound bar from BB. I have a Samsung plasma tv with no arc hdmi. I want the true dolby sound and optical does not do it. Is there an adapter you can purchase or do I have to purchase a new tv with arc hdmi?”

If you're still using this set up, use the optical out to the soundbars optical in, as you will still get the same data transfer to the soundbar as ARC would. Also, if you have any Blu-ray players, plug them into the HDMI in port of the soundbar first. This will give you the best sound quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the LG OLED TV with Atmos-Dolby sound and married it to the LG SJ9 sound bar and they are a perfect match. My opinion is to keep the manufacture’s product together for ease of hookup and and product communication.
