Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, unfortunately that's not the case. It would be super amazing if that could happen. Atmos content being played will display "Dolby Atmos" on the sound bar and standard will just play standard sound as is, no upscaling. Thanks.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is simulated surround modes that can be cycled through on the remote. I believe "Movie" would be the closest to this but it was nowhere near as convincing as the real thing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In the owners manual there are various ways to connect the soundbar to the tv, phone, other speakers wether it's through Bluetooth, hdmi or optical cable. There's also a specific way to setup for Dolby Atmos and and what mode the soundbar has to be setup in as well as the tv. With my personal experience is that the soundbar will only play atmos with atmos encoded blu rays and it lets you know that it is and when a blu ray is not atmos it will play like a normal soundbar

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The top speakers output sound even when not in atmos mode but you have to have an Atmos disc for it to work proberly as well as a disc player capable of outputting Atmos. There also has to be a direct HDMI cable from the player to the sound bar. A regular arc channel going through the tv will not work.
