No it will not make a big difference. That’s a salesman trying to “build the basket” by making you think you need another thing to make it work properly. The included HDMI is perfectly fine, however if you are planning on using the hdmi pass through for a 4k Blu-ray player or Xbox I would recommend buying an additional hdmi for that. Always use the included cable for eARC
