Hello there, Mike. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your question about setting up the S90QY sound bar with your LG 65" OLED C2 series TV. We understand how important it is to have a seamless viewing and listening experience. You can indeed place the S90QY sound bar in front of your TV while it sits on a console. However, please ensure the sound bar is positioned low enough so that it doesn’t block the remote sensor on your TV. In many setups, the sound bar won’t interfere with the sensor, but if you find that it does, you can try slightly repositioning it or raising the TV stand if possible. If you have any additional questions or run into any issues, please feel free to send us a private message on social media at @LGUSSupport. We’re here to make sure you get the best experience from your setup. Thanks for your patience and for choosing LG! —Avril
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The sound bar does interfere with the sensor on the TV. You have to hold the remote up high if you are sitting down. Works OK if standing up. Salesman at Best Buy told me it would not be a problem but it is. Will probably have to set TV on a piece of one inch plywood to raise it up above the sound bar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too have my tv on a stand with the sound bar mounted in front of it. You do seem have to. Angle the remote over the sound bar. If I point my remote straight at the tv, everything turns on except the television. I hope this helps.
