I thought the same. Except I do want my towels and bedding to wash for a very long time with multiple rinses. We even changed the temperature control thing in the machine. Same thing happened. Come to find out through ‘just walking away’ and trial and error, it does the job it is supposed to do, just don’t watch it. What I found that happens with these fronts is that it pulls in the water from the hot(if you feel it’s cold then run some water, if you have a sink in your laundry room, to prime those pipes with hot water it will speed things up; kind of like you do with a dishwasher) then to make it extra hot it heats the water even more OR it tumbles the clothes and steams them to get them saturated otherwise not all the clothes will get wet as HE uses less water. The bigger the load the longer it takes. The lesson learned is just walk away. FYI: I to stuck my hand in where the water runs and I didn’t have water coming in but I could hear it and I felt no heat coming from the detergent drawer right away but when I paused the washer after all the clothes were wet they were piping hot. I also could see the condensation on the glass. So don’t be discouraged it is doing its job. I hope this saves someone from frustration and time. I spent many hrs trying to figure this out.

Mine did not even give me a hot wash because it added cold water to the hot. Over 3 hours to wash one load.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also used the extra hot option and because it needed more water to even get the top clothes wet, I used to extra water option. It adds only cold water, so now my hot water is not hot. It took 3 hrs and 35 minutes to attempt to wash one load on towels in hot water, which I put my hand in, and it was cool, not even warm. I returned the washer. It just is a ridiculous waste of money. 3 hrs to get a load to wash hot that is not even hot.
