• No, if you do not select the extra water feature the top of clothes will not even be wet more than halfway through the wash cycle. The extra water added from the Extra water feature will also be cold, so if you desire a hot wash water, forget it. Returning mine.

• The machine senses the load and chooses the water level appropriate for the load. To add additional water to your cycle, use the Water Plus feature. This option can be used multiple times until the maximum water limit for the washing machine has been reached. ^CP

• No. It takes two to three ‘Bedding’ washing cycles with ‘Add Steam’ function to get a load (1/4 tub size) semi-clean. You can use the ‘Add Water’ function but that will drag it out even more. It takes more than 3 hours per cycle. Using Add Water will increase it by about an hour each cycle.
