Yes to the first question about the additional washing pedestal. They are sold separate. I have both, and they are great. As far as the mildew is concerned you can run a monthly empty load with bleach or purchase the washing tub cleaning tablets. I also leave both of my washers open after I am done with my laundry for the week so they can dry naturally before I close them up again. It usually just takes overnight to dry out.

This is a 29" washing machine so you'd have to get the 29" bottom washer should you buy it. We did and we like it a lot. For the mold and mildew, you can wipe the rubber with some diluted bleach to kill it. We don't have that issue since we do a couple of things to prevent it. First, we wash the whites with the bleach last. Secondly, we leave the doors on both machines open after use since the AC of the house will dry them out.

These front loader machines are air tight so any water still in the machines after a wash won't be able to evaporate as is the case for top loaders.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had my LGTROMN for, I believe, for 12 or 15 years. I have had no issues other than my ceramic tiles towards the back where the legs are have cracked, making it not very level, but still does the job. I always left the front door open all the time after a wash. The rubber seal inside does have mold on it and even cleaning with bleach, it is still there, but, after all these years I will replace it with the same model Eventually, I plan to redo the flooring, but need advice on what to put down. Should I just not have tiles where the washer is located and just have tiles end where the machine meets? I just do not want water getting under tiles if I go this route when washing the floor.
