• From the 75 to the 80 series, there is no difference in the viewing angle. They both offer a viewing angle of 178˚ x 178˚ (horizontal x vertical). The backlighting type is different on the series. The 75 series offers Slim Direct and the 80 series offers Edge backlighting. A direct LED backlight is a backlight whose LED matrix is positioned directly behind the panel. In contrast, an edge LED backlight only has LEDs positioned along the edges of the screen, using “light guides” to spread the light across the entire surface of the display. ^Daphane
