TV can operate on antenna but you will only receive on air, broadcast channels and no internet or streaming channels. Be careful about the settings menu as to what settings you touch or you could loose broadcast channels.

It can function without Wi-Fi for basic functions like watching traditional channels, but accessing streaming platforms and other internet-based features typically necessitates an internet connection. But Wi-Fi remains the most common and convenient method for full functionality. You can still watch free-to-air channels, content from your USB drives or Blu-Ray players from the HDMI port, or satellite or cable content, if you have those set up. If the TV is connected to your home’s coaxial cable network, you should be able to access traditional cable channels (assuming you have a cable subscription). You can also connect a media-playing device, like a DVD or Blu-ray player, to your smart TV and play any movie you already own. The picture quality when a TV is connected to OTA programming is generally better than when connected to Wi-Fi. OTA programming, such as over-the-air television (OTA TV), typically offers better visual quality due to lower channel density and fewer compression artifacts compared to cable or satellite services. OTA TV can provide 4K resolution and is transitioning to ATSC 3.0, which will support 4K OTA video. However, the quality can still be affected by factors such as signal strength, antenna positioning, and environmental obstructions. In contrast, Wi-Fi connections may introduce compression artifacts and degradation due to the network's bandwidth limitations and the need to compress the data for transmission. Additionally, Wi-Fi can be disrupted by electronic devices and physical barriers, which can affect the reception quality. To ensure the best picture quality, it is recommended to use high-quality antennas and receivers, and to optimize the antenna's position and connection to the TV...^Ivan.
