• No, The TV should be placed atop a platform where it securely sits with no overhang. From the outer leg to other leg, the width is 40.9". ^Daphane

• Probably not. I have mine on a dresser that is a little over 37 inches and I have to turn the TV diagonally to make it fit and it BARELY fits up there. Wishing I had or knew where to get a pedestal stand for it.
