You can connect a USB storage device (USB HDD, USB stick) to the USB port on the TV to enjoy the content files stored on the USB storage device on the TV. A USB storage device that has a built-in automatic recognition program or uses its own driver might not be recognizable. Some USB storage devices may not be supported or may not work properly. Please use only USB storage devices formatted with the FAT32 or NTFS file system provided by Windows OS. It is recommended that you use an external USB HDD with a rated voltage of 5V or less and a rated current of 500 mA or less. If you use a device requiring a higher voltage / current than the rated voltage / current, it may not operate properly due to lack of current. • QuestionWhy does the picture fade and wash out when viewing from the side? Can this be fixed?

    Asked by John.

    • Answer The LG UHD UN7000 series TV will only provide the best picture when viewed from directly in front of the screen. This TV as well as most low to mid-range 4K LED TVs tend to have a faded, washed out picture with off-angle viewing, some more than others. This isn't something that can be resolved by adjusting the settings of the TV or repaired. I ended up buying an LG 65" OLED-E8 to get a TV that has no issues with off-angle picture.

  • QuestionCan I use this tv in Africa , the voltage over there is 220 thanks

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Th LG UHD 70 Series 50 inch 4K Smart TV, Model # 50UN7000PUC is not a dual voltage TV, it is rated at 120 VAC, 50/60Hz. But the voltage is the least of your worries because you can always use a step down transformer for the voltage. What is an issue are the built-in tuners in the TV. Most countries in Africa use either the PAL standard or the SECAM standard. Not sure that African countries have switched to the Digital Terrestrial TV standards yet from the analog PAL and SECAM standards. This TV and TV's designed for use in the U.S.are not compatible with those standards used in Africa. This TV like all TVs designed for use in the U.S. has three built-in tuners; an ATSC tuner, an NTSC tuner, and a QAM tuner and none of these tuners are compatible with the standards used in Africa. So even if you could use a step down transformer for the power, you will not be able to receive any TV Broadcast signals from television stations in Africa because the tuners are not compatible...^IFV
