• I added a Sony Soundbar and it works great. The connection is universal. I’m not familiar with optimum tv.

• Hello there. Thanks for reaching out. Both the TV and the Soundbar must be LG products and must both support SoundSYnc. TO connect your Soundbar using sound Sync: Make sure the Soundbar is powered on. If using an optical cable, connect the cable from the optical out put onn the TV to the optical input on the Soundbar. `Jai.
