QuestionIf I connect a sound bar using HDMI ARC, will it stop audio out from optical and/or 3.5mm. If so, is there a way that I can output sound to audio 3.5mm (or optical) along with sound bar connected via HDMI ARC. this is imprtant to me.

- Answer The TV does of course have both features along with the new EARC which is an enhancement to the audio. I have not tried running optical and ARC at the same time.

QuestionI noticed there are some boxes labeled "2020 new" while some others don't have this, is there any reason for this? or is this changed recently? Which version is the newest if it is? Thanks.

- Answer There is only one version of the CX the boxes may have been manufactured at different times but the set is the same. All CX sets are 2020 versions. LG changes the name for each iteration ever year. C8 is 2018, C9 is the 2019 version, CX is 2020, C1 is 2021.

QuestionHow critical is the air space around the TV? Putting it in my cabinet leaves about 1/4-inch gap on the sides but about a 2" gap at bottom and 3" gap at the top. Would cutting hole in cabinet back work?

- Answer Hi- There isn't much heat generated from this set, not like the older back-lit LED panels. My old LG ran quite warm, but this runs very cool. The best way to determine if you need to cut a hole in the back of the cabinet is to set it in there and run it for an hour. Check the temperature- if it's just a little higher than ambient, you should be OK. If it feels too warm, then cut your hole in the cabinet.

- Answer No, this TV does not come with AV cables. There an AV Input that requires a breakout cable that is not included. ^Daphane

QuestionHave just purchased a 2020 OLED CX with Alexa. Have a Sonos Beam soundbar with Alexa. Which Alexa should I use? First thought is use the one on the TV but I am not a tech person at all. Any thoughts?

QuestionCan the stand be anchored to bottom surface to prevent falling outwardly

- Answer The stand is heavy and almost the same length of the tv. I do not feel this tv would be likely to fall over. I believe you could probably secure it with a strap on the back side if you feel the need to do so.

QuestionI’m looking at the LG CX OLED 55 inch. In older models (from years ago) the sound quality was poor in the thin TV’s and one had to buy a sound bar accessory. Is this required/recommended in the new models or has the sound quality been improved enough?

- Answer A tv just does not have the capabilities that dedicated sound bars and home theaters do. That being said, this TV does have great sound output for a TV. Better than some premium panels I've had in the past. But you cannot compare tv speakers to dedicated sound systems, as they are completely different.
