“This might be a silly question, but in order for it to be flushed against the wall, does there need to be an outlet behind where the tv is mounted, or would the professionals hired through BestBuy to mount it connect the wiring behind the wall regardless?”

If you want it completely flush against the wall you will need a recessed wiring box in the wall. The box cannot even have a bezel or lip - as this will push the TV away from the wall. If you can't mount it flush I would pass on the Gallery TV and get the cheaper version (CX?).
