• I haven't tried using my cell as a hotspot with the tv. The success would depend on your download/upload speed. The tv does have WiFi. And I can use my iPhone as a remote (the LG app is terrible, we another). Personally, I connected it directly to my router with a LAN ethernet cable for the best speed, and so it wasn't competing with my other WiFi devices for bandwidth. I have a relatively basic internet package, to be low cost, and that's acceptable for this tv.

• I would imagine so, yes. It can connect to the internet via Ethernet or WiFi connection. Use your own data at your own risk though. 4K content using A LOT of bandwidth.
