• No it works, but pretty much to get the most of your 4ktvs you need internet if not just buy a 1080p hd tv.

• Internet is not required for just viewing television by your TV provider. If you wish to access any of the TV's internet features, such as applications or web browser, connecting to the internet would be needed. ^CP
