Question1, does this have at least one HDMI 2.1 port? And 2, will it be able to run games with the new gaming consoles 4K at 120 FPS?

- Answer HDMI 2.1 ports allow for higher resolutions at higher frame rates than before. With With HDMI 2.1, you can get 4K at 120Hz, 8K at 60Hz, and right up to 10K resolution for industrial and commercial applications. The LG NanoCell 85 Series 2020 55 inch Class 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (54.6'' Diag), Model # 55NANO85UNA features two HDMI 2.1 ports (HDMI 2 and HDMI 4). Your source has to be a 4K @ 120Hz signal and you will need an HDMI 2.1 cable...^IFV

QuestionDoes this tv have a protective screen film that needs to be removed prior to use? I have read that if not removed, it could cause damage, but I don't see a fim cover, and don't want to damage the screen if there's not one. Please advise.

If it did have a protective film on it, there would be a note on the corner of a protective film reminding you to peel it off...^IFV

- Answer The LG NanoCell 85 Series 2020 55 inch Class 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (54.6'' Diag), Model # 55NANO85UNA does not have an HDMI ARC port, it has an HDMI eARC port (HDMI 3). HDMI eARC is not really backward compatible with HDMI ARC. If your TV is HDMI eARC enabled, but your AV amp or soundbar is only compatible with HDMI ARC, it's likely you'll get a sound - but the bandwidth restrictions of ARC will mean you won't be able to experience the high bitrate audio that eARC can provide. So no, it's not backwards-compatible...^IFV

QuestionSomeone mentioned they couldn't get HBO on this TV. Do you mean it only isn't offered as an app and you can still get it through spectrum cable. Or does it mean you can't get it at all?

- Answer Hi Kismet. HBO Max is not currently available on the LG NanoCell 85 Series 2020 55 inch Class 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (54.6'' Diag), Model # 55NANO85UNA. However, we are continually working to add the latest streaming applications, such as HBO, but cannot provide a concrete timeline right now. In the meantime, our webOS platform offers over 600 apps including streaming content and games - including over 180 free streaming channels via the LG Channels app. Also, you can access much of the HBO content through the Amazon Prime, YouTube TV or Apple TV+ apps that are available on our platform and you can still stream it through the TV from your Spectrum cable service. - Answer Yes, this TV works very well with the Xbox Series X, it's the reason I purchased this TV. Granted I'd like to have an OLED TV, but this TV is great for it's price point. I have the XSX and this TV has a gaming mode that automatically turns on the HDR when you switch to the HDMI input your XSX is hooked up to.

What you are describing on the LG NanoCell 85 Series 2020 55 inch Class 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (54.6'' Diag), Model # 55NANO85UNA is what is commonly referred to as flashlighting which is a common problem in LED LCD TVs.This TV is an Edge-Lit TV and the LEDs are only on the edge of the screen. Both the LCD screen and the diffuser layers are somewhat flexible. A slight difference in pressure on the frame of the television can change the uniformity of the picture. If your flashlighting issue is caused by an issue with the frame’s pressure, it can be adjusted by slightly loosening or tightening the screws behind the edge of the screen. A slight difference in pressure on the frame of the television can change the uniformity of the picture. This issue can be due to a slight variance in the manufacturing or shipping process. Please contact our Support Center at (800) 243-0000 and our Support Representatives can assist you with making arrangements for a Service Technician to correct the issue...^IFV

It handles a moderate amount of light really well but the reflections in a really bright room may be too distracting for some.
