“The glass on the door gets extremely hot when we have the oven on. We have little kids and it is hot enough that it worries us. We have exchanged one range thinking it was a defect but second has same issue. Is this normal? should we get a another model?”

All Stoves Glass Gets Hot Even the old Ones. when i was young i was not allowed in the Kitchen while mom was Cooking. as the Kitchen is not a Place for Children even supervised. yes its Fun too teach young children to cook. But there should always be an Aire if caution to Allowing children around any Appliance that gets Hot. Im not bashing you or trying to be mean in any way. Yes the Glass on ours gets warm but i dont think it would burn anyone. its just hot enough to let the person know that while say cooking a whole chicken or Turkey that its going to be hot.
