Thank you for your question! Cooking on an LG Electric Smooth Top Range will work very well with all heavy-gauge pans. The most important thing to ensure is the pan has a flat bottom to ensure proper heat transfer. Everything from Stainless Steel pots and pans, to cast iron, enameled dutch ovens, or even flat-bottom woks are great for a Smooth Top Electric Range. Make sure that the weight of the handle does not tilt pan and that the pan is well balanced. For ideal energy efficiency, use pan sizes that match the amount of food to be prepared and the size of the surface element.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not heavy metals like a dutch oven, those will scratch it very easy. I use my normal stainless and ceramic and they are fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We use aluminium with ceramic interior with copper bottom pots and pans. Our friends who bought the same range use stainless. I prefer the ceramic "greenware" due to ease of cleaning and the copper clad bottoms for even heat distribution. Although probably not necessary. It seemed for us cast iron took too long to heat and a little heavy for a glass cooking surface. Cast iron works great for baking cornbread in the upper oven
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Any flat bottom pan, metal or glass. Try not to slide the pans around on the surface because it leaves micro scratches.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You must use completely flat bottomed pots and pans. I prefer heavy bottomed, stainless steel. Nice even cooking and dishwasher safe!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the booklet said to only use pans that have a straight bottom. do not use pans that wobble
