• I researched these 2 TV's on Consumer Reports. The one difference I noticed is the UH8500 model was rated at Very Good for motion blur while the UH9500 model was only rated as Good.

• According to LG; only the UH9500 has "Uniscreen Technology," which is: that on the UH9500, the screen is practically edge-less. There is almost no bezel around the entire screen. Which is much more aesthetically pleasing as well as being lighter. You can somewhat see it in the pictures if you compare them side by side on a bigger screen.
