The obstacle you will run into is the TV Broadcasting System in the region that you are taking it to. Most, if not all regions that use 220-240V do not use the same TV Broadcast System as the US. The TV has three built-in tuners, an ATSC tuner, an NTSC-M tuner and a 64 & 256 QAM tuner. Not all countries are compatible within each standard DVB-T, ATSC (North America), DMB (China), ISDB (of which there are two incompatible variations used in Japan and South America respectively) Other countries use DTMB so if the country you are exporting the TV to does not use ATSC , this TV will not be able to receive local TV Broadcasts in that country. You can watch DVDs, and Blu-ray DVDs played from a Blu-ray Player designed for use in the US on the TV, but you cannot use DVD players or Blu-ray players and the discs for those players from another region on the TV...^IFV
