“I purchased this tv and am having trouble connecting my sound bar. Is this TV only compatible with LG sound bars? My current sound bar is Samsung, I have the hdmi plugged into the correct port but the tv is not recognizing it. Any ideas?”

I have a Samsung soundbar and it works great with this tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you try plugging it in via the audio optical cable output? This TV is designed to output to external speakers or a separate Bluetooth transmitter via the optical cable output.

Please try again later.I'm assuming a Samsung product wouldn't be compatible with an LG tv..I have the same TV & plan on getting an LG soundbar..but I honestly think the sound on the tv itself is great & don't need to be enhanced which is why my plans for a soundbar aren't in the near future..hope this heps, thanks!
