Not sure if this is a questions but many of these ultra-thin TVs (Sony for one) come with their own proprietary mount as they are not deep enough for the top screws on traditional mounts. This thing is thinner than my cell phone at the top! We used Drywall Anchor/Bolts and it is a VERY sturdy mount and the mount enables the TV to be pulled out, rotated, angled very easily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a mounting issue as well. It was solved by first determining the height of the LG bracket that I would need to give me the TV height I wanted. I mounted a 3/4 inch thick, 24inch long by 15inch high piece of birch plywood to the studs. (A larger piece could be used if necessary.) In fact my home has steel studs which is a bit more complicated but not a real problem. After screwing the plywood into the studs I then had the latitude to move the LG bracket where I needed to center it. I then used the provided screws to mount the bracket. There were ample number of screws provided and plenty of holes in the bracket to screw it in. It worked out perfectly and looks great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Best Buy is now including the LG mounting kit. Too bad you had to return your set. Seems a shame they wouldn't throw in the kit. The set is too amazing and expensive to mess around over something as simple as the mounting kit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know why Geek Squad couldn't mount your set. Mine was mounted on a frame that was already there on the wall. The only thing they used were a set of screws from the mount I had gotten with the set.(It was offered for free)
