QuestionCan the HDMI ARC output and the optical output both be use at the same time? Need to connect 2 audio devices, one uses HDMI the other uses optical output.

- Answer The Digital Sound Out in the LG CX 65 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # OLED65CXPUA only has an option to output audio through the HDMI eARC port or through the Optical Digital Audio Out. You cannot select both to output at the same time. You can set it to Auto / Pass Through and depending on the sound input, the TV will determine which port to send the audio through. The Optical Digital Audio Out cannot transmit the bandwidth necessary for Blu-ray-specific audio formats like Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD Master Audio, and Linear PCM. That requires HDMI...^IFV

QuestionLG or someone who knows, please provide a solution for me. I want to buy this TV but my components (cable box, Bluray etc), don't have direct line of sight, so the TVs remote won't work for me. I don't want to use my phone as a remote either.

- Answer Don't buy this tv because components have to be plugged directly into tv cannot have a media room with a pre-amp switch box as this TV loses the connection! Sasung or Sony is the way to go.

QuestionBought this TV about a week ago, picture is awesome when watching anything other than sports. When I try to watch a football game fast motion appears blurry, any thoughts? I have changed and rechanged any setting I can think of. Should I just return?

- Answer You will still need to purchase a separate center speaker but I knew that going in . I have a surround system with Polk speakers and Yamaha receivers. That being said, the CX has fantastic sound.

QuestionCan the power cord safely be plugged into an extension cord and then be plugged into a surge protector? I ask because the supplied power cable is 6 ft which isn't long enough to reach my surge protector. If so, what gauge can be used?

- Answer The other answers are incorrect. PÚA is the first revision/ first half of the model year. AUA is warehouse clubs. PUB/AUB are revisions - and these can be significant; ie the C1 PUB / AUB is actually an evo panel, whereas PÚA / AUA are not.

- Answer The width for the VESA Standard Phillips pan head machine screws that will fit into the VESA bolt mount holes on the LG CX 65 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # OLED65CXPUA is M6 (i.e. 6mm). The length for the screws is determined by the depth of the wall mount that you intend to use to mount the TV. If you are purchasing a new Wall Mount that is VESA Compatible that supports the VESA Wall Mount Interface pattern on the TV (i.e. 300 x 200 mm), it will come with 2 -3 sets of screws with the appropriate width but varying lengths. Spacers will also be provided to use if the screws are too long. If you have an existing wall mount that you are looking to use, check the installation guide that came with the mount or contact its manufacturer to inquire what length of screw is appropriate for the mount, or you can measure its depth to determine what length of screw is needed. The Mount also has to be VESA compliant and must supports the wall mount interface pattern on the TV...^IFV

- Answer No Sound bar is needed. The forward facing speakers are awesome. I am hearing more of the base in music and an increase in other sounds than with my old TV that had a sound bar.

QuestionDoes this CX Oled Tv have DTS Pass through? I noticed the newly released 2020 LG Soundbars support DTS. But I don’t see DTS support in the specifications of the LG CX Oleds. That would be strange if this tv does not support DTS pass through

- Answer Short answer is, NO. LG CX does not have DTS support and does not passthrough DTS of any kind to your receiver or soundbar. You may always connect your source, DVD/Bluray/Console to the receiver and pass the video to the TV, but be careful with with PS5 and XBOX Series X, most of the receivers won't support advanced video functionalities such as ALLM, Freesync/G-Sync and 4K 120fps.
