“Replacing 55 with this 65". I am mounting this over a fireplace that has decorative molding that the tv will extend over. It protrudes 5/8 " from wall . Is that a problem for the flat mount”

You dont need to use the super flush mount. You can use your current vesa compliant mount, You can even use some small plastic spacers for it to clear your molding.
