I am going to guess that it is very probably that your old mount will work, for a couple of reasons. 1) there was a standard developed for TV mounts, but I am pretty sure your mount would be after the standard was implemented, 2) I mounted mine on a ~10 year old mount and it worked just fine. If you are in doubt and don't feel you will know for sure until you take the old TV down, go ahead and purchase the new mount in case you need it. Then just return it if you don't need it. That's what I did for a completely hassle-free return.

This TV features a VESA Mounting pattern of 300 x 300, so you would need to check if your current mount supports these dimensions. However, it is important to note that this specific model includes a dedicated Wall Mount in the box, which is designed to allow the TV to mount flush against the wall. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-65-class-g5-series-oled-evo-ai-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv-with-one-wall-design-2025/JJ8VPZW8F4 If you have any further questions about its features, please contact us on [email protected], and our team will be more than happy to assist you. —Renzo
