The TV will only mount “flush” with the wall if you use a box with ZERO bezel. Leviton makes a home media box that allows the receptacle to be installed inside the wall, the larger the media box is the easier it will be to route the cables. There is a very specific height the box must be in order to not show under the tv when finished and LGs website has printouts for each TV size. I also had issues with the corners of my TV wanting to poke out due to som very minor un-squareness in my wall, I ended up putting small strips of Velcro on each corner to keep them tight. The tv is so thin it’s not super rigid outside of the mounting area. The end result is absolutely stunning and the picture still blows my mind.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From what I have read and the videos I watched, you do not need a recessed box to have the TV flush to the wall. The recessed box would be used if you want a place for all cables to run to before connecting them to the TV. The included bracket will provide a flush mount without the need for a recessed box.
