A:AnswerI bought this specifically for my XB1X and it passes all the XB1X requirements but you have to play around with the settings. When I first plugged in my XB1X showed only 3 things checked off on the compatibility list in XB1X settings. What I had to do was play around with the TV settings, exiting out of settings while RDR2 was on screen and checking the XB1X 4K details in XB1X settings. You have to exit out of the TV settings after each change to see the updated list for the XB1X. Took me about 20min fine tuning until I had all green checkmarks from the XB1X!
I can say that once you get through all of that, everything plays like a charm and looks crisp and beautiful! Makes the RDR2 experience that much better!!
A:AnswerThe Optical Digital Audio Output on the LG SK8000PUA 4K HDR Smart LED SUPER UHD TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 65" Class (64.5" Diag), Model # 65SK8000PUA or on any device using the Optical Digital Audio Port can pass multi-channel audio like Dolby Digital. The types of digital audio signals that can be transferred by a digital optical connection include two-channel stereo PCM, Dolby Digital/Dolby Digital EX, DTS Digital Surround, and DTS ES. Digital audio signals, such as 5.1/7.1 multi-channel PCM, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS:X, and Auro 3D Audio cannot be transferred via Digital Optical connections. These formats require HDMI connections. When the digital optical connection was developed, it was made to comply with the digital audio standards at the time (mainly 2-channel CD playback), which did not include 5.1/7.1 channel PCM, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio, or DTS:X. In other words, digital optical cables do not have the bandwidth capacity to handle some of the newer home theater surround sound formats...^IFV
A:AnswerApparently neither Best Buy or LG accurately answered the question. The label on the back of the LG 65sk8000pua set says 205 Watts (1.7 amps). Line cord measurements indicate it can vary from 55W to 185W depending on the internal power setting which can be set by the end user. The power setting will affect the picture black level and may make scenes with a lot of black lose definition making content way too dark. A UPS for this product should probably be for 410 watts or 408 VA or greater.
A:AnswerThat's entirely up to your cable/satellite provider, most will require some form of box to receive their services now. If you're using a whole home antenna system, you'll be fine. This set has a digital tuner to receive over-the-air SD and HD broadcast channels.

A:AnswerI just bought this model and it doesn't support the HBOGo app. LG has no future plans for their webOS platform
to support the HBOGo app, according to the agent I spoke with today/
